OTPF

The OTPF is the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework.
It is important to learn about because it breaks down the steps a therapist should follow into easy to read charts and graphs. I used the OTPF very frequently when doing my occupational profile because each category was broken down and described in detail. This made producing an occupational profile a much easier process. The OTPF groups all of the different types of occupations into broad categories and then breaks them down even further into subcategories such as client factors and performance skills. The OTPF does not only help you with occupational profiles but it also helps a therapist when identifying a type of PICO question or how to form a PICO question for Evidence Based Practice. These are examples of ways that I have encountered using the OTPF in just a few short weeks.
